A lipstick shade & finish guide

There is no single right red or one finish for every day. Use these starting points to find a color direction and a feel you enjoy.

01

Find your shade direction

Undertone can be a helpful starting point, but it is only a guide. Try the colors that make you feel most like yourself.

Cool

Explore rose, berry, or blue-red shades for a cooler color direction.

Warm

Try coral, peach, brick, or warm brown when you want more golden or earthy color.

Neutral

Move between warm and cool families. Rose or classic red can be easy shades to explore.

02

Choose the finish

Think about the look and feel you want. Formula and wear can vary, so treat these as broad tendencies.

Matte

A velvety, shine-free look with bold color. Some matte formulas can feel dry or emphasize texture, so comfort matters too.

Satin

A soft sheen between matte and gloss. Try it when you want color without a high-shine look.

Gloss

Reflective shine for a fresh, light-catching look. Glossy formulas may need more frequent touch-ups.
